Employment Status

The Employment Status page of the demographics flow records information about the job seeker's current employment situation. Some questions contribute to determining program eligibility or services, such as whether the job seeker is considered long-term unemployed or underemployed. The following instructions apply to the Employment Status page. Below is a screenshot of the page, as well as a table listing each field and a description of the content required.

  1. At minimum, complete all required information, which is indicated by (required). Additional questions may display or be required based on the information you provide and on your state.

    Field Description
    What is your current employment status? (Drop-Down) Select from the following options:
    • Not employed
    • Employed
    • Employed but with notice of termination or layoff
    • Not in the labor force (not actively seeking work)
    How many total weeks (if any) have you been unemployed in the past 12 months? (Drop-Down) Select from the following options:
    • N/A
    • Less than 1 week
    • More than 26 weeks
    • 1 week-26 weeks
    Are you employed and in need of additional training at your place of employment? (Drop-down) Select Yes or No.
    Are you employed at less than full time, or at jobs inadequate with respect to your training or economic needs (Underemployed Worker)? (Drop-down) Select Yes or No.
    Have you been unemployed for 27 or more non-consecutive weeks at the time of registration? (Drop-down) Select Yes or No.
    Have you been unemployed for 27 consecutive weeks in the past 12 months? (Drop-down) Select Yes or No.
  3. Select Next. The Unemployment Insurance Status page displays.
